So far I've tried everything I can think of : locking my user profile, saving a new default Template, increasing the minimum number of characters in Word completion to 30 (so that very few would be saved, effectively disabling it) etc., but as soon as anything is modified in Word completion, the insertion of non-breaking spaces is deactivated and can't be restored as a default setting except by restoring a backed-up user profile (in which word completion is still enabled). Note that in French, thousands should be separated by an espace inscable. I can manually reactivate it, but whenever I close a document (even an empty one) and then open it again, it's deactivated. When this is not the case, IUCN prefers open compound terms, e.g.
